Colours that return in different materials. That is how you connect elements without making them the same.
In the kitchen we worked with oak veneer in a warm tone, with a Dekton worktop in a contrasting colour on top. That same finish returns in the dining table, so kitchen and dining area belong together without being identical.
That is the whole principle of this interior: letting a colour return in another material makes a link you feel before you see it.
The design
A wall you want to touch
On the long wall we set a panel that connects the dining area to the seating area. Inside it sits sand-coloured leatherette, and that does something paint cannot: it engages not only the eye but the hand.
In the sightline from the kitchen stands the dining table, with a tall cupboard behind it that is part of the joinery running on into the seating area. Fabrics in the same colour family keep the whole thing calm.
