Our Design, Your Build
You know you want a designer, and you are doing the build yourself. Then this is the one piece you need: the plan. You record your home and your wishes online, speak to Reinder twice, and get on with it.
Who it is for
If you are doing the build yourself
The same thinking, and the build stays yours.
You have made up your mind: a designer is involved. But the build stays in your own hands, with your own contractor, your own suppliers and your own pace. Then you do not need a full project to arrive at a good plan.
It is the same thinking from the same studio. You get the direction and the reasoning underneath it, so you can decide as you go without calling us in. The project runs online; the two conversations with Reinder remain, by video or in the studio if you prefer.

The plan itself
- A written feasibility verdictWhether your ambition fits your budget, and if not: what comes off or goes on.
- An estimate per item, with rangesFurniture, lighting, window treatments, flooring and finishing kept separate.
- A decision and sequence scheduleWhich decision falls when, which is irreversible and which lead times hang on it.
- Spatial direction per zoneWith the reasoning behind it, so you can weigh things up yourself later.
- Material and colour direction, with physical samplesPer item, to the same standard as in a full project.

How it is arranged
- Two conversations with Reinder himselfSixty minutes each, by video or in the studio. Not passed on to anyone else.
- Indicative visual materialVisibly labelled as an impression, never as a render of the finished result.
- One round of revisionsWithin ten working days. After that the phase closes.
- If you say no, everything stays yoursWith no conditions. You are free to take it further yourself.
The boundary
What is explicitly not included
No surveying or dimensioning, no construction drawings, no order list, no coordination with suppliers, no purchasing, no site visit, no contractor supervision and no realisation.
That is the boundary of this design, and it is stated up front so that nothing catches you out. If you would like us to take on the realisation, the full journey is the route.
How it runs
Twenty working days
- Day 0 · five minutesFour questions about budget, home, timing and what you want to do yourself. You get an immediate answer on whether this suits you.
- Day 0 to 5 · the inventoryYou record your home, your wishes per room and your situation online. At your own pace.
- Day 5 to 7 · the conversationSixty minutes with Reinder, based on the file that is already there.
- Day 7 to 15 · the workThe studio works out the direction, the estimate, the sequence and the samples.
- Day 18 to 20 · the handoverSixty minutes with Reinder, in which he walks you through the plan. Then one round of revisions.
The investment
Tailored to your home
You are committed to nothing until you say yes yourself.
What the concept phase costs depends on the number of rooms we work out together. You hear the amount in advance, so you know where you stand before you commit to anything. There are never travel costs or a separate 3D option on top. If we conclude at the start that this does not suit you, you pay nothing.
Should you go on to the full journey within twelve months, part of this amount is set off against it.
