Inspiration
When you buy a new house, or your current interior no longer fits the way you live, there are choices to make. Do you furnish it yourself, or do you bring in an interior architect or an interior designer? If you already know that time is short, or that choosing is precisely what you find difficult, the first option falls away: you will not be doing it yourself. That still leaves the choice between the other two. Here we set out the advantages of an interior designer.
Inspiration
Yes, there is a difference. It is sometimes said that an interior designer only works on details, but that is not it. The difference lies in training and in protected titles. In the Netherlands you may not simply call yourself an interior architect: the title is protected and requires enrolment in the architects register, a different course of study and several years of practical experience.
Does that make an interior designer the lesser choice? No. A good interior also depends on a feel for style and on how well someone conveys an idea to you. The most important part of the work is the interaction: the client has to be at the centre, because your wishes for the home lead the design. You can read more here about the difference and the overlap between an interior architect and an interior designer.
Inspiration
When you want to furnish a new home, or change the interior of your current one, you can call in an interior designer. Usually for a plain reason: there is no time to develop ideas and to compare colours and fabrics, or choosing between styles and pieces of furniture is exactly what you find hard. Bringing in an interior designer gives you the following:
Inspiration
When Studio Reinder Veenstra makes the interior design, you can count on an interior that fits you. Before we begin, we get to know each other properly and go into depth. We want to know precisely how you want to live, and whether you also need to be able to work from home. From your wishes we make a sketch design and moodboards, so you can see what our ideas are. After your feedback we move on to a final interior design that fits your budget as well as your wishes.
Furniture that actually fits
We work with furniture makers, which means pieces can be made to measure for your new interior. We take precise measurements and do the calculations, so everything fits and is right in your house. You could do that measuring yourself, but it costs a great deal of time and demands very precise work. And bespoke pieces fit the house in both senses: in size and in style.
Inspiration
More possibilities than you would find alone
An interior designer keeps up with what is currently possible, including materials and makers you would not come across on your own. Your wishes set the direction and our knowledge widens the options. What comes out of that is an interior you feel at home in.
See the design before it exists
Few people can picture a new interior without help. That is why we make a 3D visualisation of our design: it gives you a clear image of the end result, close to the feeling that it already exists. Material and colour samples make it more tangible still. By the time you decide, the design is no longer abstract.
Inspiration
When time is short, it helps that most of the work, or all of it, can be taken off your hands. Having the design made is the first part. If the design pleases you, you can also hand over the build: the building work and the making of the furniture, down to placing each piece where it belongs. We deliver the house ready to live in, so the only part left to you is enjoying it. That is complete care, from the first sketch to the end result.
Inspiration
Without much experience in furnishing, coherence is the hardest thing to achieve. An interior designer brings the eye for detail and the feel for colour and style that this asks for. We look past the function of each piece of furniture to what belongs together: which colours strengthen one another and give the interior its harmony, and where a difference in texture binds the whole rather than breaking it. It is an investment in the pleasure your home gives you.
